About Us

Barker PR is a specialist agency with a strong reputation in healthcare, dental and wellness communications. We create purposeful, engaging campaigns that deliver measurable results – from media coverage and stakeholder engagement to strategic brand positioning.

Our work spans PR, social, events, marketing campaigns, content and partnerships, always underpinned by curiosity, collaboration and creativity.

We’re growing – and we’re looking for a dynamic Account Executive to join our team and help shape the next phase of our journey.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role ideal for someone with a passion for PR, media and marketing, and a genuine interest in healthcare and wellness communications. You’ll support across a range of client accounts, helping to deliver smart, impactful campaigns across traditional and digital channels.

Working closely with our Brand Leads, you’ll be involved in campaign planning, research, execution and reporting. You’ll gain exposure to full-funnel marketing, learning how to take a prospect from zero brand awareness through to loyal customers and advocates. You’ll understand the strategic use of multiple channels, touchpoints and messaging to move audiences through every stage of the marketing journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Brand Leads to keep client plans on track and on budget
  • Brief and manage the design process from concept to final asset delivery
  • Contribute to the development and execution of integrated campaigns, including email, social media and event support (we have some exciting launches coming up!)
  • Create and repurpose content, including blog posts, case studies and thought leadership in video, print and digital formats
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists and relevant media across the dental, healthcare and wellness sectors
  • Conduct research to support strategy development and identify new media, influencer or partnership opportunities
  • Compile client reports, KPI summaries and campaign evaluation documents
  • Attend client meetings, exhibitions and industry events as required
  • Monitor sector trends to inform messaging, campaign timing and creative positioning

Skills and Experience

  • Some experience in PR, media, marketing or communications – this could be from a degree, agency role, in-house position, internship or freelance work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence writing for different platforms and audiences
  • Proactive, organised and comfortable managing multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and a flair for storytelling
  • A genuine interest in healthcare, dental or wellness sectors is an advantage
  • Familiarity with tools such as Cision, Canva, Mailchimp, social scheduling platforms, CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot), design software (e.g. Adobe Suite), and project management tools (e.g. Trello, Asana or Monday.com) is desirable

What We Offer

  • A supportive, collaborative team culture
  • Flexible hybrid working (London-based) and a commitment to work–life balance
  • 22 days annual leave including bank/public holidays, plus your birthday off
  • This role is a great stepping stone to Account Manager level, and we’ll support you on that journey
  • The chance to work on meaningful, purpose-led campaigns
  • The opportunity to shape and contribute to a growing agency’s future
