Over the last few months, we’ve been busy settling in a fantastic new client – Leightons Opticians & Hearing Care – the ‘best-kept secret’ in the optics and audiology business. It’s been fantastic to find out more about the company and what makes them so unique, as well as meeting the wonderfully diverse, inspirational and passionate members of the team.

With 35 branches across the South of England, including four franchises and one joint venture, the family business is dedicated to enhancing people’s vision and hearing to help them live life to the fullest. Now in its 96th year, they have ambitious growth plans and we’re thrilled to be shining a light on the fantastic work they do.

Our remit includes driving awareness of the brand’s unique offering and supporting their major recruitment drive, focusing on B-2-B communication. We’ve already had a strong start with a five-page feature in Audiology News UK – the leading audiology publication – and numerous news plus commentary pieces in sector specific press.

As with all Barker PR work, our campaign is grounded in connections and building meaningful relationships with stakeholders. There is a real synergy with dentistry and just as we should be prioritising oral health, so should we be striving for the very best hearing and eyesight. Trust as always remains key.

Expanding our offering to the wider healthcare community is an exciting and natural phrase of growth for us. We understand and recognise what makes professionals tick and the need for authentic and meaningful connections.
