Students to celebrate their dentistry awards at a prestigious London ceremony

The most innovative and forward-thinking dental students will have the opportunity to debate on the future of dentistry as well as meet and network with leading figures in UK and Irish dentistry at a prestigious students’ awards presentation on 2nd April 2011.

Following the announcements in March of each University winner of the Award for Innovation, the winners and finalists of the Award for Intercalated studies in the 3M ESPE Student Dentistry Awards 2010-11 will be invited to a dedicated event hosted at the Wellcome Collection in London, where the winner of the National Award for Innovation and the Award for Intercalated Studies will be announced.

The winners will be chosen by a distinguished judging panel that includes Dr Amarjit Gill, President of the British Dental Association; Edward Attenborough, President of the British Dental Trade Association; Professor Trevor Burke, from the University of Birmingham and Professor Nairn Wilson, Dean and Head of King’s College London Dental Institute.

The ceremony marks the end of the first 3M ESPE Student Dentistry Awards campaign. 3M ESPE is investing in the future of UK and Irish dentistry by giving students the opportunity to win financial support for research projects, electives and intercalated studies – as well as enhancing their CVs. Winners will be provided with bursaries ranging from £300 (354 EUR) to £3500 (4130 EUR) to support their studies.
